The Dish With Dannie
Dannie's World
Greetings and welcome to the rants and ravings of an editor and writer. Does that mean my pros will be perfect and awe invoking? Not really. It simply means that, at the very least, you will be entertained.

Just My Opinion
Have you ever wondered what was going through the minds of women who expect someone to take care of them? I mean what’s really good? Everyone needs/wants security, but one needs to achieve it themselves to ensure it. Why put your hopes and dreams into someone else’s hands? “Crazy.” What ever happen to, “I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul.” Just my opinion. Instead of racking your brains on how to get/keep someone, how about rack it with plans of self-improvement, growth, and achievement. Because knowing “tricks” is always great, but how about you add to that with an income (meet or exceed). Just my opinion. Always reaching for more … knowing that you can always accomplish more, learn more, achieve more. ;-). Anyway, this is just my opinion and like they say, “opinions are like assholes … everyone’s got one.” LOL. Just. My. Opinion…

Reflections
Reflections are a part of life. You always look back on situations and say, “what could I have done differently?” or “what was I thinking?” Life is full of wouldas, couldas, and shouldas. It’s like we can never be content with the decision made. We must continuously replay it, this way and that, with a hundred different endings. But the truth is—that it has already happened. It has already been said and done. And no matter how we wish we could turn back the hands of time … we cannot. The only productive reaction is to learn from it and move on. There is no time for self pity. No one else pities you; therefore, no need for you to pity yourself. Only the strong survive, as it were, those with the strength to help themselves make it through this labyrinth we call life. All the twists, turns, and unexpected challenges shape us into who we are, and how we CHOOSE to react determines if we become one of those who regret the past or accept it with gratification. There is nothing more heart wrenching than not being content with who you are and where you are. We are all the masters of our fate, the captains of our own souls. So take the time to reflect. What does your soul tell you? Are you one who lets things happen to you or do you make your own “destiny,” call your own shots? Life is the longest thing we will ever do … but it is also too short for regret … Marinate on that for a minute.
